The Mount Warning hotel at Uki in northern NSW burnt down in 2014 and I was asked to prepare plans for the new hotel. I was given a pencil sketch on a piece of writing paper as a brief and from there liasing with the owner and
builder I developed plans to get council approval and for the builder to build the structure. It was not a straight forward job as the old building had heritage status in a heritage town. But with perseverance and the engagement of a number of consultants the hotel came to fruition with a very pleasing result for everyone including the patrons. The building was built by Unique Building Solutions Pty Ltd of Ballina. The Hotel had its official opening in September 2015.
